We are not even sure how to begin but let us start by welcoming our newest Broadway Diva Series AND two time Tony Award winner Donna Murphy! To say that Donna is part of the fabric that makes up the legacy of American Musical Theater is an understatement. Star of stage, screen and of course the animated Disney classic (which we hear is being developed for Broadway) Tangled, as the fabulous villain Mother Gothel. Donna’s credits go on and on but some of our iconic favorites are Passion, The King and I as well as the cult dancer movie Center Stage. She was last seen on stage in Hello Dolly as of course the larger than life Dolly Levi. We are thrilled to have her join our crusade to end animal cruelty with her lip gloss named “mother knows best.” Proceeds from Donna’s gloss like the rest of the diva series benefit the ASPCA, The Humane Society and now smaller less visible organizations including NY Second Chance Rescue and Muddy Paw’s Rescue NY.
We are thrilled to welcome the arrival of Patti Murin to our Broadway Diva Series! Patti as you may already know originated the role of Princess Anna in the Broadway production of Disney’s Frozen. She actually also played Belle in the national tour of Beauty and the Beast! Along with her other theater credits, a lot of you know her as Dr Nina from Chicago Med on NBC. The best role we love her for of course is animal activist. Like us, Patti is a lover and supporter of animals so this was a magical match made in heaven.
The timing couldn’t be more perfect yet bitter sweet. Sadly Frozen on Broadway announced last week that the show would officially close due to the current global pandemic. So while we are gutted by this news, we are happy that we can still make it live on for the Frozen fans in some capacity. More importantly so many animals have been affected by this sudden crisis. Like all of our diva series lipsticks, proceeds from Patti’s lipstick go towards fighting any and all cruelty towards our furry friends!
As you alresady know this Covid-19 novel virus has shut down Broadway let alone the country and we are not happy about it. In the meantime we hope all you beautiful theater and makeup lovers are safe, well and practicing social distancing! We are so excited to start off summer with our newest diva. Broadway superstar Kerry Butler and our lip gloss titled Barbara 2.0 after her amazing and hilarious character Barbara Maitland in the Tony nominated for Best Musical Beetlejuice. Kerry has so many Broadway credits including Xanadu, Means Girls, Little Shop of Horrors and Hairspray to name a few. Not to mention TV shows and recordings of some of the most amazing songs ever written. We especially love the Disney songs where she both sings AND plays the ukulele. As talented as she is, she is also equally supportive of animals which is why we love and decided to partner with her as one of our Broadway Diva Series. It is with great pleasure that on the 15th Anniversary of the smash hit Wicked The Musical we welcome our newest diva Jessica Vosk. Jersey born and raised, Vosk did community theater at a very young age. She was also an amazing student. Vosk went to school and eventually put her performance dreams aside as she landed a job on Wall St right out of college. Eventually panic attacks ensued and she decided to “trust her instincts, close her eyes and leap…” Auditions started to pay off and the broadway shows started calling. Bridges of Madison County, Finding Neverland and Fiddler on the Roof are some of the shows Vosk has been seen in. Now she is defying gravity as the newest Elphaba every night at the Gershwin Theater. Vosk’s first album “Wild and Free” debuted on the Billboard charts. Last but not least she is a lover of all animals including her ridiculously adorable dog Fred. WE LOVE FRED! If you don’t already follow her insta-stories you don”t know what you’re missing! Proceeds from the unlimited lipstick will benefit the ASPCA & The Humane Society.
What better way to kick off Pride Month than with our newest diva! We give you broadway's hottest triple threat Nick Adams and his lipstick titled "hot stuff" from his fabulous run as Felicia in Priscilla Queen of the Desert. From Chicago, A Chorus Line, La Cage and Wicked to name a few, Nick has definitely made his mark on the great white way. Not to mention his saucy modeling ads as well as tv and movie appearances. Nick is also a constant LGBT advocate, travels the globe mentoring young aspiring talent and is a huge animal lover. We couldn't be happier having Nick join our fight against animal cruelty. We welcome her with not one but two new lipsticks titled after the Golden Globe Winner for best song and Academy Award nominated "This is me" sung by Settle from The Greatest Showman. Where she portrays the role of Lettie, the bearded lady alongside Hugh Jackman. Settle is a Tony Award nominated Broadway vet, R&B singer & recording artist. Settle made her Broadway debut in Priscilla Queen of the Desert and originated the role of Becky in the smash hit musical Waitress. A broadway vet who made her mark very quickly on the broadway stage in the original cast of Hairspray and soon became the first replacement for Elphaba in Wicked. Naturally, we are elated that her recent Tony Award nomination for her performance as Trina in the latest revival of "Falsettos" happens to coincide. Stephanie is a two-time Tony nominee and a five time Drama Desk Award nominee not to mention her list of credits. The Boy from Oz, Wicked, 9-5 to name a few. Needless to say she (and that voice) are a force to be reckoned with. If you can catch her on stage, do yourself a favor and go! Last but not least when she says "my voice does more than just sing" it couldn't be any truer. Stephanie lends herself to so many amazing causes and protecting our furry friends is definitely one of them! I witnessed this singer bring the house down during every number but especially when she sang what would end up being my favorite song in the show, "No Good Deed." Do yourself a favor and YouTube it if you haven't already! Along with other notable roles such as Brooklyn and Maureen in the closing company of Rent, she most recently played the title role of Eva Peron to rave reviews. Eden is also a huge animal advocate making her all the more amazing. As with our other series divas, all sales from Edens lipstick will help benefit the ASPCA and The Humane Society.
The heat is in full swing here in NYC. Work, auditions, shows to see, so keep your glam down to a minimum.
